They're out...

We took Sam yesterday to get his stitches out. He did better getting them in! He was so cute trying ever so nicely to push the doctor's hand away. Then you see him start biting his coat to endure the pain. I'm not sure he was enduring pain so much as enduring the fear. I kindof traumatized him by sticking a band-aid over it that last day. Peeling that sucker off was probably the worst part of this whole experience. I don't know what happened to the flash on my camera in the first 3 pictures. I need a new camera. I think mine's just about had it.

Sam and Macy

Sunday evening, Samuel fell off the kitchen chair. The result was a nice evening spent in the emergency room. He hit the corner of the wall which sliced his poor little forehead open. Our little boy had to get 5 stitches. He was soooooo brave. He obviously cried when he fell but when they were "fixing his owie" he was very quiet and still. His only words were, "I'm blue." because they put a blue cloth over his face. The same day, my Macy turned 5 mo! Wow, I can't believe how big she's getting! What a blessing.

A Need...

Hey friends. We'll be moving Feb. 2. I need boxes for packing if anyone has any extras let me know. Thanks!

Please Pray...

I just got news that the 5 year old daughter of Ed and Angie Oster passed away this morning. Ed and Angie are missionaries to Argentina. Ed is Ron's brother so also pray for Ron and Norma. I don't know the details.

We got it, too!

We have been asking prayers for the Lord's guidance in moving. We recently applied for a home in Silverdale near the Gambles. It is so nerve wrecking applying for a new place. I don't know what its like buying but renting is like one big race for the finish line. There were A LOT of people interested in this place but the Lord worked in our favor and the realtors accepted our application this morning! The neat part about it is they are putting us on a 3 month trial because they were a little concerned about Josh just starting his business. There were other qualified applicants but they went with us even though they had this concern. That's the LORD!! After the three months is up, we'll be signing a 12 month lease agreement. The neatest part about the new house for me is Greyson will be able to have his own school room. Josh is excited about having his own office and there's a completely fenced back yard! We'll be moving February 2. Can't wait to have all of you over for some fellowship!

The Casaus Family

I just wanted to share a cute pic, Jenny took. I think this is unedited. This is us in a nutshell...two people who love each other very much with 4 silly kiddos. There's Greyson, who's always seeking the spotlight, Sam, who's silly and goofy pretty much most of the time, Myah, who loves pretending and playing and being in her own little world, and cute chubby little Macy. :)

Saved by the Oreo

RARELY do I buy these chocolately cream filled cookies at the store but made an exception on my last shopping trip. Of course, it was Josh who snuck them in the cart. "How could I put up a fight when he works so hard", I thought. I have this THING against oreos and doritos and these 2 treats just happen to be my husband's favorites. So...every so often (when he goes shopping with me) we bring these bad boys home.
Tonight I broke a rule. Rule #1 Watch what you tell the kids because they're very good at holding you to your word. Yes, I know..."hope deferred maketh the heart sick." I told the kids we'd bake cookies together after they cleaned their room. It took them F.O.R.E.V.E.R to clean the room. (I know, Jenny...set the timer.) Finally, they were done and there I was sitting alone in the front room pretending to be very busy when Greyson comes to me and says, "Mommy, it's time to make cookies." My thoughts: "Oh, my word ~ I did tell them that ~ I'm soooo tired ~ Quick think of something ~ "Hope deferred maketh the heart sick" (conviction) ~ cookies...cookies...OREOS!" Saved by the oreo! The kids were actually MORE excited to be eating oreos as this is a treat for them. That must say something if they like oreos better than my cookies. :) Here are some pics of the Casaus kiddos enjoying a bedtime snack. I confess, I had some too. :)

Prayer

This is not an urgent prayer request. Just asking for your prayers if you think of us. Currently we are borrowing the Ford Ranger from Josh's dad, who has been so good to lend it this long. We'll need to give it back soon so please pray the Lord will provide another truck. Josh can not run a route without one. Our desire is for a small box truck or a truck and trailer to haul equipment. Also, we're currently looking for a place to move. We're in no hurry, just praying, waiting and looking for a perfect place. We're not ready to buy yet so we're looking for rentals. One last small prayer request is for 2 twin mattresses. The boys are still in toddler beds, due to smaller bedroom space, and are desperately needing to move into their bunk bed. We have one stored in the garage but have no mattresses for it. Macy's outgrowing her bassinet so she'll need to move to a crib soon and we just don't have the space for a bunkbed (boys), toddler bed (Myah) and crib (Macy) in their little bedroom. Thanks for your prayers. I know the Lord will provide as He always has. By the way, did anyone see that beautiful rainbow yesterday? Just a reminder of God's promises and that He is ALWAYS faithful to keep them. Praise be to God!!

Christmas 2008

I thought I would share some pictures from Christmas. The first two pics are of my favorite Christmas present this year. The Keurig ensures a hot cup of coffee every time. No more heating them in the microwave. I love it! The rest of the pics are on Christmas Eve at my mother-in-laws house and one pic of the boys on Christmas morning at our house.

2008 in 3 words...

I was tagged by Jenny. Describe 2008 in only 3 words...

BABY
BUSINESS
BLOGGING.....BLESSINGS....BALDNESS...BALDERDASH...
I know I didn't follow the rules. Okay, I tag both Aprils.

Resolutions

Like many of you, I've been thinking a lot about new year's resolutions. I tend to overwhelm myself with all the things I want to do differently or get better at so I've been trying to simplify my new year's resolution list. I can list over 20 things on my personal list...drink more water, be more given to hospitality, eat more whole foods, take my vitamins (Mrs. Emily :), spend more one on one time with each of my kids, send thank you cards like I should, read my Bible more, etc. etc. Everything on my list is great and wonderful and things I'll definately be striving for but I was encouraged this morning by Pastor's message and through my Bible reading to consider this question ~ "What is your life?" (mental picture: me stabbing self in chest as if convicted.) Seriously, my resolution this year is to live this year knowing my life is a vapor. It will soon pass! I desire for my works here to last for eternity. I get so caught up in mundane things that I forget the BIG picture..."Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man." So...there's my new year's resolution. God will take care of the rest.

New Header

What do you think of the new header? I LOVE it and was so excited at how easy it was to figure out. So, I thought I would share how I did this. First, I went to Smilebox.com (or some other digital scrapping source) and did a postcard. I then saved it as a JPG image in my pictures folder. After signing into your blog click on Customize, then click on header, browse your images and add...voila! Don't forget to click on "shrink to fit." Also, make sure you click on the option to place it behind the title and description. I hope that's not too confusing. It's just like adding a regular picture. Have fun!
