10 on Tuesday

1. It's 11:44. I am soooo tired but determined to get in at least one blog post this week. It's still Tuesday too. :)

2. I'm so glad God is still working on me and doesn't consider me "hopeless". Sad to admit, sometimes I feel that way about some of my own children. NOT that it is hopeless to continue investing proper training, love, love and more love, and discipline, but that it sometimes feels like Myah will always give me the grumpy face when she does not get her way or Samuel will always be sneaky or this or that. WHOA, that was a long sentence. Anyhow, I KNOW those imperfections in my own children can be made perfect through Christ who is FAITHFUL!!! Cause let me tell ya, he's got his hands full with me. :)

3. Currently reading 1 Corinthians and "The Prayer of Jabez". This little booklet was given to me a long time ago and I'm just now picking it up.

4. I ate way too many M&M's at my MIL's house today. They were the peanut kind...healthy, right? We prego's need our protein. :)

5. So, I am taking itty bitty steps to becoming gluten free. I have switched to rice pasta and am eating lots more fruits and veggies. I think the biggest obstacle will be figuring out which types of flours work for which recipes. I think the most common one used is rice flour but there are soooo many types which yield different flavors. Made some yummy flourless peanut butter cookies.

6. Silas. My Silas. He is my little love these days. We are attached. I am heartbroken that I'll be leaving him for 5 days next month. Oh, I always get this way when I'm expecting again. I just want to swallow him up. While I'm excited about new baby, I'm sorta sad my current baby is growing up on me. Whaaaaaaaaaaaa! It happens.

7. Hm...3 more things. Got a package from my mom this week. She made the most beautiful quilt for Silas. These are full size and completely hand sewn and quilted by her. They are also personalized with name and birthdate. Each of my children have one and it will be so neat for them to keep in their family. I am proud of her. She is talented. MOM, why didn't you teach me to sew?! Wait, I think she may have tried once but I'm a little stubborn. I do remember crocheting chains for everyone for Christmas one year. That's all I could do...a chain.

8. Looked at another house in Port Orchard today. Still tossing around the idea of maybe purchasing instead of renting.

9. So sad to realize my clothes are already getting a bit tight on me. I'm almost 7 weeks and have gained 2 pounds.

10. Tried a Cocoa Cappuccino today. I wasn't impressed. Would much rather stick with my white mocha.

10 on Tuesday

This is an idea I've seen floating around for a while now among fellow bloggers. I've had such a hard time consistently updating this thing that I've decided to adopt a few of these weekly ideas to keep my blog going. Maybe it will encourage me to post something random every now and then. We'll see.

1. While giving my girls a bath I was reading about having a joyful spirit and showing that through your words spoken each day. I was getting really encouraged and prayed to ask God to help my words to be words that expressed thankfulness and joyfulness to my children. I got the girls finished in the bath then went to get the shower ready for the boys. While turning on the shower I noticed one of my boys while using the restroom was TOTALLY missing the toilet and peeing all over my bathroom wall!!! Let's just say my words weren't very joyful or thankful as I let that child know that "I'm so tired of cleaning up your mess!" Oh did the Holy Spirit ever get ahold of me! I quickly realized that I am thankful for this child. I can even find something to be thankful about in this situation. Thought of a friend of mine who lost her 5 year old son late last year. Thanks for reminding me again LORD to be thankful and joyful in all situations. :)

2. Had a glimpse of Missouri/Oklahoma weather today as we actually had thunder AND lightning with our rain!

3. I totally thought I might escape the extreme fatigue you experience during pregnancy but the last two days have been tough...can't seem to get up before 8 when I normally get up at 6:30 and I'm DRAGGING all day.

4. I'm having lots of urges to do things but am finding time isn't being my best friend lately. I want to scrapbook, list some dresses on e bay, make these fabric flowers for hair pretties that I found on a blog, do a puzzle, study...just am not finding time lately.

5. I LOVE when it rains and rains and rains...my hubby gets to be home with me even if he is working in his office all day. :)

6. Totally craving creme brulee today thanks to AMANDA SAVAGE!!!

7. My son's not done with school yet today but he's playing the wii right now. :) That's his form of recess since the weather won't allow for us to run around outside.

8. Thinking of making homemade pizza for dinner tonight.

9. Really wanting to study about gluten and am on a mission to convert to mostly gluten free. We'll see how that goes. Hey I need encouraging words about this people so if any of you have any advice you can give I would appreciate it. I found a blog I plan to follow that I think will help on this journey.

10. Yes, I understand the homemade pizza I am about to make probably contains some gluten and the chocolate chip cookies I plan to make later most definitely contain gluten. Encouraging words people!

I told my coach I couldn't go out and that I needed to sit the bench. I ended up telling him why but he decided to still put me out there. He was nice enough to put me at Left field, right behind 1st base. I thought I was safe until the first batter hit a pop fly right short of where I was standing. I COULD NOT move so I stood there and watched it drop. Everyone was yelling at me to get the ball. As I started going toward the ball, already sitting on the ground, I peed myself!!!! HUMILIATING!!! I went home.
