An adventurous, exhausting, enjoyable, bargain finding day!

I ventured to the mall today with my 3 kiddos all by myself. Way to go, me! We visited the little play area by Kohl's for about an hour then I decided to "browse" inside of Kohl's as I've never really shopped there before. Browsing sortof turned into buying when I realized the prices were super affordable on the clearance racks. I really had a good time with just me and my little ones. I haven't been out with them by myself for quite some time because of morning sickness and fatigue. I know they're probably so happy to see mommy somewhat returning to my normal self as I'm feeling sooooooo much better. I ended up buying 7 shirts for Greyson, 7 shirts for Sam, 1 pair of shorts for Greyson, 3 pairs of shorts for Sam, 1 pant/shirt outfit for Sam, and a dress shirt w/ tie for Greyson. I didn't buy anything for Myah this time (which is so hard to do). Any guesses on how much I ended up spending? Most of the brands were Carter's and OshKosh. I only spent $90! Can we say, "stimulus check"? I actually just got off the phone with my hubby and his guess was $75. Well, I thought I did pretty good for me. I'm not a very good bargain shopper so I was pretty excited. I think each shirt was like 3-4 dollars a piece. I ended up saving about 60-70% on each piece of clothing. Kristi-maybe we should go shopping together sometime :)
On a different note, if anyone knows of a really good comfy infant carrier/sling thingamabob please fill me in. I have a Bjorn which is really nice but after a while starts hurting. I'm looking for something super comfy but easy to use. I've never been able to get the hang of the piece of fabric sling carriers. It would be mostly used for days like today. Anyway, please help. Thanks!

Train up a child in the way she should go............

We Washatonians (sp?) love our coffee! We start our children out young training them on the art of sipping coffee. Here's Myah having her daily cup of joe. She still has a little sippy cup action going on but with time will master how to handle the cup. She's quite the little java drinker. (This is really an empty cup of chocolate milk that Samuel discarded on the deck after finishing.)

Memorial Day

On Memorial Day our family visited the Naval Undersea Museum in Keyport. The boys really got a kick out of all the diver's gear and torpedos. Myah even had a good time as you can see in the pictures. After visiting the museum, we went to Silverdale near the water to feed the "seabirds" as Greyson would call them. Samuel never quite got the hang of it. We had a good laugh watching him chase after the birds in pursuit of handfeeding them. Josh and the kids then played in the park. I don't know who enjoyed it more, Josh or the kids. We ended the day with popsicles and sidewalk chalk back at the Casaus House. What an exhausting but very enjoyable time with family. Family Day

Josh took off from work a couple of weeks ago on a Wednesday. The family went to WildCat Trail and took a little hike. It wasn't too bad considering my current condition. (Nothing like the hike you went on, Jenny :) Josh was finally able to use his "walking stick" given to him by Bryan Burger. The boys also found their own little walking sticks. They were so proud to be like daddy.
I'm not much of the outdoorsy type so it was quite the experience for me. I think I created more noises and saw more bugs than there actually were. I did loosen up a bit and started taking some pictures. Before blogland, I never thought to take my camera with me. Now, I'm snapping pictures of everything! I was probably quite the sight walking this trail with my iced mocha and camera hanging around my neck. Sorry there are no pictures of me being too "girly". I think my husband probably picked about a million "good" spots to sit down and eat lunch. I finally agreed on a log. I guess I was hoping for a picnic table along the way. I grew up taking camping trips, deer hunting with my parents, fishing with my grandpa and riding 4 wheelers. My mom and dad live on a farm with lots of land in the middle of no where. I know I had a blast as a kid experiencing these things but somewhere in between then and now, I've become............I guess...............not very adventurous. Wow, I don't like admitting that but it's true. I like sticking to what I always do. My type of fun is thumbing through books at Barnes and Noble. I must sound pretty boring! (Maybe Josh and I should come hang out with your family, Amanda. I'm challenged to be more adventurous. :) I honestly did enjoy this time with my family. (I just felt like bugs were crawling all over me :) It's late and I'm rambling so, enjoy the pics!

Work Day

We just finished another spring cleaning "work day" at church. Praise the Lord for all who came out and helped! We had a record breaking (or so I heard) high of like 94 or something. I keep hearing different numbers but regardless, it was hot! I was hard at work taking pictures of everyone else hard at work and wanted to share with everyone. I can't help taking pictures of some of the babies. They are too cute!

Ultrasound

We went to our ultrasound yesterday. Baby is healthy and very active but the nice thing for me is I don't feel too much movement because the placenta is right in front providing extra cushion. Baby weighs about 1 pound now according to ultrasound. It's always so reassuring to see what's going on in there. Anyway, just thought it would be fun for everyone to guess the gender, weight and estimated delivery date. My babies have been pretty small. Greyson was 6 lbs. 3 oz. Samuel was 7 lbs. 1 oz. and Myah was 6 lbs. 13 oz. I usually go about 1-2 weeks early. This is our first time not finding out if it's a boy or girl so we're pretty excited and waiting patiently and sometimes a little impatiently. My due date is August 30. I will write down everyone's guesses and we'll see who was the closest when the time arrives. Just for fun, if you believe in old wives tales, the heartrate was in the 150's and the whole ring on a string thing (yes, I tried that :) went back and forth. Have fun!
