Not Me Monday...

Here we go again...

1.) I did NOT "mop" my floor with baby wipes today due to time constraints...NO, NOT ME!

2.) I did NOT serve poptarts for breakfast...NO, NOT ME!

3.) I did NOT have a bit of irritation in my voice when a certain creditor wouldn't let me authorize a payment over the phone...NO, NOT ME!

4.) I did NOT buy a shirt at Goodwill with a hole in it...NO, NOT ME! (Note to self: inspect all clothing carefully before purchasing.)

5.) I did NOT make nasty Chicken Helper for lunch today because I bought several boxes on sale...NO, NOT ME! For the record, I don't like processed foods (with the exception of Mac and Cheese) and rarely buy them. I have a strong dislike of Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper, Chicken Helper and whatever other meat they can think of Helper.

6.) I did NOT make a special trip to the store tonight for Brownies...NO, NOT ME!

A Little Girl's Prayer...

"Dear Jesus, God made the mountains. He made the sun and the moon. Thank you for Silas not to throw up on mommy. Thank you for Sam not to pee on the ground. Thank you for the food. In Jesus name, Amen."
-Myah Casaus

I love this little girl sooooo much!!

Family Camp

We almost didn't make it to camp this year. Our family recently discovered how much we LOVE camping and went camping almost 2 weeks straight before family camp. We came home in between those trips only to wash all the camp clothes and gear, go to church on Sunday, pay some bills, buy more food and get all packed up again. So, we were pretty "camped out" by the time family camp rolled around. Sunday, the registration deadline, rolled around and I ended up forgetting to register. I got distracted by fellowshipping and ice cream. So I called Bro. Moss Monday morning and he called the camp and the camp was able to squeeze us in! And squeeze us in they did...our cabin was sooooo tiny but cozy anyway. So because "the kids" were excited about it we did end up going. (Pst, I was too. :) Josh wasn't too enthusiastic this year about it but being the WONDERFUL man that he is took off work 1 more week so we could go. :) Here's some pics...

Sweet Girl...

I don't know how anyone could look at the faces of the children on Reece's Rainbow website and not feel a sense of urgency or a strong desire to do something! Josh and I have been praying for this little girl for a while now. I check the website every day to see if she's been commited to and while I am rejoicing for the new commitments my heart sinks when I don't see her there. Isn't she beautiful? Please be in prayer for our family as we continue working hard to pay off debt. There have been a few hurdles but we'll not get discouraged and will continue plugging away. Oh to have the freedom to save a life and not the bondage of debt! One thing little miss Sandra has done for me is given me a greater appreciation and contentment with what God's given me. I deserve none of it but I have a Heavenly Father who blesses me still. Josh and I are trying to be better stewards with our finances and quickly pay off debt so prayerfully and Lord willing God can use our family to rescue someone like Sandra, or perhaps Sandra. :) Just wook at her wittle face!

Sandra is a beautiful little girl with platinum blonde hair and brown eyes. She is nearing 4 but is still working on her walking skills. She is physically capable, she is healthy with no heart condition, is able to stand on her own, play with toys, respond appropriately, but she will need extra patience and help with her PT and speech. She will so greatly benefit from a loving family who will encourage her!

She is facing the institution, please consider adopting Sandra!

From an adoptive family who visited with her in August 2010: "Also saw Sandra today. Someone was pushing her in a stroller. She really needs a Mommy and Daddy to get her some love and therapy. Her little legs just dangle and she really needs some PT. She is so cute."

More photos available, please inquire.

We have many children waiting in this same orphanage who can be adopted together. Children in this orphanage are not held much past the age of 4, so we need a family quickly.

How Did This Happen?

How did my baby boy go from this...

to this...

in just 5 short months?

Silas is 5 months now! He has only rolled once both ways. I have no idea what he weighs but am sure he's over 16 lbs. He'll go for his checkup next week. I am totally in love with this little boy. He sleeps so wonderfully for me and is very content. In fact, if he didn't cry every now and then I probably wouldn't pick him up. Don't take that the wrong way. He's just very quiet most of the time so I do end up forgetting he's playing in his saucer or swinging. I do often stop what I'm doing to "play" with him. I love to snuggle this little chunky monkey! He truly is a blessing. Here's more pics of Si boy, si guy, sumo si...

It's All Good...

Life, that is. It's all good. God is good. Josh is good to me. My children are good, sometimes. My church family is good. My mom's coming to visit me soon. Monroe has a family...for those of you who keep checking my blog only to read, "Save Monroe, save Monroe, save Monroe." He is committed to and will soon have a family, Lord willing. This post is for you Mrs. Emily. :) It's all good!

The following is taken from my friend Elisabeth's blog. You can check her out by clicking on the link to her blog on my sidebar. (Calleigh's Clips and Crochet Creations) It's supposed to be "Not Me Monday" but I have nothing else to blog about or at least no creative juices and no patience to download photos right now so...forgive me. I guess I'll call it Not Me Tuesday. :) Real creative, huh?

1. I did not tell my daughter to pee her pants because I didn't feel like taking her potty for the 30 millioneth time today...no, NOT ME!

2. I did not eat 2 corn dogs and a Snicker's Bar an hour before eating a big Mexican dinner at Azteca today...no, NOT ME!

3. I did not forget to wash my daughter's blankets and sheet this morning when I noticed she peed out her diaper in the middle of the night...no, NOT ME!

4. I did not put my daughter to bed on the same bed that I forgot to wash the bedding when she fell asleep in the car on the way home from Azteca...no, NOT ME!

5. I did not show up for an eye doc. appt. a day too early in Bainbridge Island with my husband who took off work to be there...no, NOT ME!

6. I did not wear the same shirt all day that had grease splatters on it from making breakfast...no, NOT ME!

7. I did not ask my husband if I could go shopping today even though we're trying to get out of debt...no, NOT ME! (He said no. :( He's still good to me. ;)

8. I did not make my daughter go back to bed this morning because I wasn't ready for her to be up yet...no, NOT ME!
