Just wanted to share some pics of Macy. She received this Bumbo seat for Christmas. I'm not sure she loves it as much as me. Macy reached the 4 month mark on Christmas day. We are so thankful for her!

and this guy gets out of his car. He looks a little like Josh with darker skin and dark square framed glasses. Except for one thing...
the guy was bald. So I said this, "Hey, babe! That's what you would probably look like if you were bald." Ha Ha! Well, Josh mulled it over a little bit and decided hey, why not!
You see, when you're snowed in for 3 weeks you start to get a little bored. If you get bored enough you might end up looking like this...

With Greyson's birthday being so close to Christmas I do my best to make it stand out for him and be memorable. Usually, I would throw a big party, somewhere other than my 900 sq. ft. home, with friends and family but this year we've pretty much been snowed in. So...we made his birthday just as special with just...us and you know, he didn't once complain that he wasn't having fun. Sometimes I forget how simple our children are and how the simple things sometimes are better than the more extravagent things. It really was such a fun time hanging out together and making the day all about him. He literally made 95% of the decisions today. (what activities to do, what to eat for breakfast, lunch & dinner, what to wear, etc.) He first woke up to a decorated house with banners, streamers and balloons. This is a tradition in our home. You know when you go to bed the night before, the house will be all fancied up the next morning. It's fun looking forward to that. He then opened presents, ate lunch, (menu: egg salad sandwich, barbecue potato chips & wild cherry pepsi) played in the snow, went to the Dollar Store, ate dinner, (menu: sloppy joe, tator tots & milk) ate cake and ice cream, and watched a movie (Rudolph). There's the day planned by Greyson. It's so much fun doing the things kids do and eating how they eat. I think he picked a pretty good menu! I'm feeling sortof sad that my firstborn is already 5 while also rejoicing at the blessing of having him for that long. Thanks be to God for lending us this precious boy! Happy Birthday, Greyson! The snow is still falling here in Western Washington. I don't mind it at all. For me, it means I'm "snowed in" with my hubby who really has no work to do in these conditions. I love it when he's home with me. We had the most wonderful day as a family. Of course, we missed church services so we improvised and had a church service at home. The service was complete with songs, (lead by Greyson; I didn't get pictures but he looked so cute flinging his little arms up and down and singing with all his might.(just like his daddy :)), a wonderful message by my hubby, a special by yours truly, more singing, closing in prayer, and of course "shake hands, fellowship, and be friendly". Josh related King Herod to ourselves and our nature to want to be "king" or "lord" of our own lives and the baby Jesus who desires to be king in our lives.
Changing up the subject; the snow is absolutely beautiful. I will have to take some pics and post them here for my friends and family in MO, OK, and my friends, Jeff and Crystal in Japan. I did get some pics of Greyson preaching us a message. He preached about baby Jesus being born in a manger and being wrapped in swaddling clothes. These are too cute to pass up. 
We had a wonderful trip. I'm waiting for my mom to email me pictures so I can post them. I was just updating myself on all the blogs and noticed Jenny B. tagged me so I thought, hey, why not. The kids are in bed, hubby's asleep, laundry's caught up, Christmas cards are finished and I need to update my blog anyway so...enjoy.

We're flying out Wednesday around noon. I'm needing some ideas or your suggestions on flying with small children. I'm of course bringing snacks, books, paper pads & pencils...but if anyone can think of anything I haven't thought of please comment. I'm a little nervous about flying with 4 small kiddos but so thankful Josh was able to take off work to come with me. Sheri B. gave me a wonderful idea to keep the kids from making a mess with their snacks. String them on a piece of yarn and let them wear it for a necklace. You obviously have to use things with holes in the middle (fruit loops, cheerios, cheez-its have a hole don't they?). I thought that was clever and gets them excited about the plane ride as they "string together" they're own snack necklace. Also, comment on how we can make the whole process of checking in bags, going through security as simple as possible. Pray for no complications. Thanks friends! (Please pray for our safety...okay, I'm just a tiny bit nervous...no...a lot nervous. Planes just don't feel "safe" to me.)
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags - both I love wrapping paper at Christmas but gift bags for other occasions (birthday, baby shower, wedding, etc...)
2. Real tree or artificial - This will be our first year doing artificial. We're borrowing it from Josh's mom since she's not putting it up this year. Good friends of ours gave us their old artificial tree since they're getting a new one so it looks like artificial from now on. It doesn't matter either way to me.
3. When do you put up the tree - Usually within the first week after Thanksgiving sometime but it's not up yet this year.
4. When do you take the tree down? It's usually a sigh of relief when Christmas is over so I am known to take it down the day after Christmas but that's also b/c they've been real in the past and vaccuuming needles gets old.
5. Do you like egg nog - Call me crazy I guess but it's repolsive!
6. Favorite gift recieved as a child - All I can really remember is my cabbage patch doll.

9. Do you have a nativity scene - I do this year because once again, I am borrowing most of my Christmas decorations from Josh's mom

I took some pics of Myah this morning. (See post below) Of course, she's still a little raggamuffin. I'm not so sure I like it anymore. But...it's hair and it grows back. So what do you think?....honestly. I accidentaly cut one side a little too short and it flips out on that side. The "sideburns" she has going on have always been there. I'm just waiting for them to grow out to match the rest of her hair.

Okay, so that really didn't take all that long to make up and I'm chuckling at the thought of all of you trying to sing it. Anyway, I had finally heard my last "mullet hair" comment about Myah so I decided to cut it myself. It looks soooooo much better...thicker, more even, like a cute little bob cut. It's late and she's sleeping so I'll post some pics tomorrow even though I'll probably see most of you at church but hey, I just needed something to post about. Have fun trying to figure out the song.
