I ventured to the mall today with my 3 kiddos all by myself. Way to go, me! We visited the little play area by Kohl's for about an hour then I decided to "browse" inside of Kohl's as I've never really shopped there before. Browsing sortof turned into buying when I realized the prices were super affordable on the clearance racks. I really had a good time with just me and my little ones. I haven't been out with them by myself for quite some time because of morning sickness and fatigue. I know they're probably so happy to see mommy somewhat returning to my normal self as I'm feeling sooooooo much better. I ended up buying 7 shirts for Greyson, 7 shirts for Sam, 1 pair of shorts for Greyson, 3 pairs of shorts for Sam, 1 pant/shirt outfit for Sam, and a dress shirt w/ tie for Greyson. I didn't buy anything for Myah this time (which is so hard to do). Any guesses on how much I ended up spending? Most of the brands were Carter's and OshKosh. I only spent $90! Can we say, "stimulus check"? I actually just got off the phone with my hubby and his guess was $75. Well, I thought I did pretty good for me. I'm not a very good bargain shopper so I was pretty excited. I think each shirt was like 3-4 dollars a piece. I ended up saving about 60-70% on each piece of clothing. Kristi-maybe we should go shopping together sometime :)
On a different note, if anyone knows of a really good comfy infant carrier/sling thingamabob please fill me in. I have a Bjorn which is really nice but after a while starts hurting. I'm looking for something super comfy but easy to use. I've never been able to get the hang of the piece of fabric sling carriers. It would be mostly used for days like today. Anyway, please help. Thanks!

Hmmm . . . I NEED to go to Kohl's. Anyhow - good job! I have a Maya Wrap that I was going to sell on Ebay - you could borrow. (or have if it ends up working for you) They are pretty pricey and it would save you from purchasing something you won't use. Mine is brand new - but I find I am just not a sling kind of woman. I love Baby Bjorns. They make a new one that isn't suppossed to hurt as much - the Sport model.
Cindee...you are right...kohls had such great deals right now. Just day before yesterday I ended up buying carters pj sets there for only $3.00 a set. I was just talking to someone this evening about how I love to bargain shop.We should go to Tacoma one day together. I just happened upon the coolest thrift store a few months back. I like to try and go like twice a month. We love it. It is huge!! Walked out of there last time with 3 old navy skirts and an old navy girls jumper...all full length....and two union bay womens skirts also full length and paid only $8.00 total. Oh and I got the cutest littel girls Levi skirt...for only $1.29 included int hat $8 total. Charissa would like it I think for Elli. Everday they have one color tag 50% off and another tag 75% off. It is such a bargain there. Not fancy but a great bargain. I am gonna do a post about that place soon
Wow...I think I need to check out Kohl's too! By now they're probably well picked over. :( I have never been a front sling person either...I feel like it gets in the way too much. I love backpack carriers though, but the baby has to be a little older. If you like, I can show you how the Mayan women do it with just a piece of fabric and nothing else... I was able to travel in Guatelama for awhile and it was so neat to see... I HAD to have them teach me how they did it. But you may already know how...it's probably common knowledge, I just pay no attention because it's not what I do. :) I hope you find just what you're looking for!
