The Sweetest Thing...

I think seeing the little life growing inside of you on ultrasound image is one of the sweetest things. I'm FINALLY past the sickness, starting to feel great and feeling lots and lots of little pokes and kicks. I am in a state of awe, still, as I look at the images and consider God's handiwork in this tiny little baby. ALL of this sweet child's members have been written down, every hair numbered and every detail carefully put into place as God continues to develop this little life, fearfully and wonderfully. Josh and I sat there today looking at the monitor as excited about this baby as we were when we were expecting our first child. We are responsible for another child in every aspect (providing love, security, clothing, food, shelter, etc.). We are also responsible for another soul! WOW, what a humbling thought! We aren't perfect parents all of the time. Maybe that's why I wonder why God continues to entrust us with all of these little blessings. Regardless, without God, we will fail. We'll raise children that, at best, are successful in career and life but have not God. BUT, with God, ALL things are possible and despite my shortcomings and Josh's shortcomings, God can do an amazing work in these 5 little lives. Our strongest desire is to raise children who make an impact for the LORD. I pray they will turn to God in true repentance and be saved. My biggest prayer for them is that their lives will please the LORD. So I share with you our youngest. We chose to keep baby's gender a suprise until birth (however Josh and I both think we heard the ultrasound tech "slip up" at one point when referring to our baby but that too will be kept a secret.) Isn't he/she sooooo cute!

What a wonderful thing! How precious is that little baby! Praise the Lord for his/her health and all those perfect little "members"!! You know, my doctor with Lydia and Abigail always called them "he" when referring to the baby...I think it was to throw us off, he was the one who did the ultrasound. So, maybe your ultrasound tech was doing the same thing. Hmmm.... I guess we will find out in April!

So sweet and such a miraculous blessing! I imagine that no matter how many kids you have, the miracle never ceases to amaze.

Such a precious post. I have a feeling its a boy, but that is just me. We shall see soon enough. Anyhow, I am glad you are feeling pretty good, and glad to hear baby is doing good. Sometimes I don't know God entrusts us with so many blessings but I am glad He does.
