You've heard it said "how quickly time flies" before but oh, how true that little phrase is. My little Macy girl turned a month old yesterday. You may notice I'm posting at 2:20 a.m. (The life of a mommy with a newborn :) I'm up with what I'm guessing is a colicky baby. I've not had one before so I really wouldn't know. She starts at about 9:00 at night and goes till about 3-4 in the morning. She sleeps for small periods, maybe 10 minutes or so, and wakes up screaming her little lungs off. I'm assuming its colick because I can't seem to console her so I sit here on the computer while she screams away. I've tried sleeping, reading, etc. but can't seem to concentrate on what I'm reading or doze off with her crying so hard. I guess I feel that I need to be awake with her to help her if I can. I can hear in her cry that she's in so much pain and I've tried using gas drops, massaging her tummy, and even allowing her to sleep on her tummy which is huge for me being a SIDS paranoia mommy. So if anyone has any other suggestions or knowledge on how long this might last feel free to comment. I'm just riding it out for now. Poor little girl. This post is supposed to be about her turning one month but at 2:25 a.m. when you're listening to a screaming baby there's not much else on my mind. I am grateful though for the month God's lent her to us and pray for a whole lot more! Since I'm having fun with the Smilebox scrapbooks and slideshows I've made another one with mostly pictures of Macy...finally. Enjoy!

Ohhh . .. I feel your pain. I have colicky babies too. I use Gripe Water from the health food store. It is a little spendy - but works. It is amazing.
Also try putting on some white noise, vacuum, water running, etc. Seems to work.
What sweet picture of the whole family. I have never yet had a colicky baby....so no help there. ut the pics are great
Love the music. I can't believe how time flies. I am so happy you guys had another little one. She is so precious, as is all your little ones. I loved the slide show. I can't give you any advice on the colic, but learn all you can....I might be calling you in the future for advice???
I can feel your pain about screaming babies... Malachi is having a hard time with his cold. I believe he's getting better though. I hope yours ends soon. I often have success holding the baby face down on my arm, facing toward the outside... with the majority of their weight on their belly, which is on the "butt" of my palm/wrist. Does that even make sense? LOL I just have the heel of my hand pushing on their belly, using their own weight. So sorry about the sleepless nights!! Ugh. That's so rough on me.
Thanks for sharing the pictures, Cindee. She is very sweet. I hope she soon is done with being colicky. I am sure that is a stressful thing on all of you.
