Macy

We finally took Macy to the eye doctor on Monday. Dr. C's exact words were, "Macy is extremely far sighted. She is 3 times worse than Greyson and will need glasses probably her whole life." So he wasn't exactly comforting in breaking the news but now we know. She did really great. Poor girl had her eyes dilated on a very bright sunshiny day and would not keep the little sunglasses on. She kept rubbing her little eyes. After that appt. we went to order her glasses. They are....glasses. They're cute...but they do change the way my baby looks. I know they'll help her see better though. You can see in the picture how her left eye is drifting. Dr. C. said normally the eye drifting doesn't show up until they're about 2 (when Greyson's did). My baby's only 10 mo. and needing glasses! Well, I'm reminded of Bro. Browning's message on Sunday evening. Tribulation worketh patience and patience, experience and experience, hope. I wouldn't really consider Macy needing glasses tribulation in my life but it was still a good reminder that God is always good!

Sorry to hear that her eyes are so bad. I'm sure she will be a cutie with her glasses! Is there a surgery that can correct the eye that drifts?

Cindi - I am sorry to hear about Macy also, but your sweet little girl will always look adorable no matter what, in my opinion she will be the cutest little one walking around in her cute little glasses. We will be praying for her little eyes...

According to Sarah, Macy will be the cutest baby with her new glasses! (She wants glasses so badly!) Hopefully the glasses will help correct the problem and cause to be able to more clearly see the big world around her.

Awww.... sweet little thing. I'm also sorry to hear about your hard news... I think it's amazing how they can tell at her young age that she is farsighted! Can they tell that just by looking into her eye? Macy will look adorable in her little glasses... just like Ki Ki does in his little helmet. :) I like to remind myself, when I get news like this, of all of the ways it could be so much worse.. and then I end up feeling thankful for what it really is. Oh! I read this verse this morning, and it was so moving, I may post about it on my blog: Pro 15:15 "All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast." Isn't that amazing!?! I LOVE it. I need this verse often, whenever I may feel "afflicted". I'm NOT saying you feel afflicted... only sharing what I need when I do! Love you!

We are sad for Macy's eye trouble, and we pray that her glasses will help her much. She is such a little doll and will always look so cute. How are Greyson's eyes?
I haven't seen him wearing glasses lately.
Love your family.
